Mercy Neighborhood Ministries is a service organization, formed (Apr. 2, 2007) from the merger of three programs serving disadvantaged adults, youth and seniors in the near-eastern neighborhoods of Cincinnati. 

Our mission states that, Inspirited by the vision of the Sisters of Mercy, we promote the empowerment of individuals and families through programs that address their immediate needs, foster self-reliance, promote holistic health and advocate for social justice. We accomplish this mission by providing crisis assistance and payee services, adult education and job training, employment and retention support, home health care and health promotion, senior services and food assistance.  Our primary service area is Walnut Hills/East Walnut Hills and surrounding neighborhoods.

 

Our programs include the following:

• Professional Home Health Care for seniors

• Employment Support for Home Care Aides

• Health Promotion for seniors

• In-Home Senior Services

• Food Pantry for seniors and disabled persons

• Crisis Assistance and Mentoring/Peer Support counseling

• Protective Payee Program for mentally/emotionally challenged individuals

• ABLE/GED and remedial tutoring

• Computer Literacy and Computer Job Training

• Empowerment Programs
