Visitation/Counseling- Providing
companionship, as well as spiritual guidance, to lessen the pains of loneliness
and lighten the burden of heavy decisions.
Money Management- Budgeting, banking, assisting in the planning of funeral arrangements.
Crisis support
Assisting with food, clothing, and finances in emergency situations.
Walking the Journey to Empowerment with clients.
(DESCRIPTION FOLLOWS)
We partner with clients to increase their own strengths and gifts to be self sufficient. We do this by means of mentoring, helping them increase their income, holding empowerment groups to teach skills, job readiness, budget management, etc.
Health Outreach- Nurse serving as a health advocate by discussing individual health problems and coordinating the solutions to each case.
Transportation- Arranging needed transportation to Church, clinic appointments, agencies, grocery shopping, etc.
Agency Representation-
Accompanying and assisting clients to fill out forms necessary to secure financial
assistance, Social Security, medical claims, Food Stamps, etc.
Improved Housing- Exploring alternative housing situations where clients' individual needs will be met.
Celebrations- Providing social, recreational, and wellness activities, along with birthday celebrations each month.
