Originally, I am from our St. Louis Province and have been a Marianist for 51
years. I have been in parish ministry for many of those 51 years. I became
pastor of St. Francis DeSales Parish in 1992. Since that time the parish, the
grade school, and now DeSales Crossings has been in a state of growth and
evolution.
It might be an understatement to say that this whole
project has |
| been a very provoking challenge. No one person can say it was "my idea" or "my dream". This project developed from the inspirations, and sharing of them from community members. It is a real experience of sharing what the Holy Spirit shares with each of us. In this sense we are being called to something new and different within our Marianist traditions. At my age in the Society, I never thought I would be so involved in something so new and enterprising. So I do not pray to do all the things ahead of us but pray to have the strength and wisdom to be with it, because God is leading us somewhere and obviously he needs us to carry on. |
