As a
member of the De Sales Crossings Marianist Community, I see myself as one who
shares his faith and prayer life and supports other members of the community as
we journey in the De Sales Crossings. I work at Purcell Marian with students
with learning disabilities, to give these students the necessary skills and
support they need for life (first, by going beyond their handicaps, thus
building self-confidence). |
I enjoy the sharing of the Word of
God and expressing it with the community--how it can be lived in our daily
lives.
I feel like Mary, as she journeyed in life with many unknowns in
her life but saying "fiat" and pondering in her heart what this all means. I,
too, do not know, but with a daily "fiat" and heartfelt pondering I seek to
uncover the unknowns with my community and also with the De Sales Crossings.
Working also with the Marianist League of Cincinnati--their prayers
and financial support of the Marianist works (LIFE program, and Urban Plunge),
especially in the Cincinnati area--fits very well in the vision of our community
and the De Sales Crossings.
The highlight of my Marianist life was making my perpetual vows
August 15, 1965. It was also a joy to celebrate 41 years of Marianist life on
August 22nd and to continue this journey with my brothers here at DeSales
Crossings. |
